Once on the mainland, follow the signs to Serrekunda. After about 30 minutes of driving, look for the signs directing you to Bijilo National Park, located just off the main road. The GPS coordinates for the park are approximately 13.4286° N, 16.7314° W. There may be parking available near the entrance.

  • Public Transport (Taxi/Carriage)

    To reach Bijilo National Park using public transportation, you can take a shared taxi or a 'carriage' (local transport) from Kunta Kinteh Island to Serrekunda. Head to the main taxi stand on the island and ask for a ride to Serrekunda, which should cost around 50-100 Dalasi depending on your bargaining skills. Once in Serrekunda, you can hire another taxi to take you directly to the park. Be sure to confirm the fare beforehand, as it might range from 100 to 200 Dalasi.
