Continue on the road for approximately 8 kilometers (about 15 minutes) until you reach the intersection with the main highway (A1). Turn right onto the A1 highway towards Serrekunda. Follow this highway for about 5 kilometers. Look for signs indicating Bijilo National Park; you will turn left onto a smaller road shortly after passing the turnoff for the Senegambia area. Continue on this road for about 2 kilometers, and you will see the entrance to Bijilo National Park on your right. Be aware that there may be a small entrance fee, typically around 50 Dalasi (approximately $1 USD). Parking is available on-site.

To reach Bijilo National Park from Sami using public transportation, you will first need to take a shared taxi (also known as a 'gelli-gelli') from Sami to Serrekunda. The taxi stand is located in the center of Sami. Once you board a shared taxi, inform the driver you are heading to Serrekunda, which costs around 20 Dalasi (approximately $0.40 USD). The ride should take about 20 minutes. Upon reaching Serrekunda, you will need to switch to another shared taxi heading to Bijilo National Park. Look for taxis that display signs for 'Bijilo' or ask locals for directions to the right taxi stand. This second leg of the journey should cost around 10 Dalasi (approximately $0.20 USD) and take about 10-15 minutes. Be sure to communicate with the driver your destination. The park entrance will be on your left side.
