From the central area of Serekunda, head towards the main street, Kairaba Avenue. Walk west along Kairaba Avenue until you reach the junction with the Banjul International Airport road. Turn left onto the Banjul International Airport road and continue walking for approximately 20 minutes. You will pass by local shops and markets along the way. Keep an eye out for any signs indicating the direction to Tanbi Wetland Complex.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, you can make your way via the Kairaba Avenue. Start at the Serekunda Market and cycle west towards Kairaba Avenue. Once you reach the junction with the Banjul International Airport road, turn left and continue cycling along this road. The journey will take around 15-20 minutes, and you can enjoy the scenery of Serekunda while getting closer to your destination.

Public Transport (Local Transport)
To reach Tanbi Wetland Complex using local transport, head to the nearest 'gelli-gelli' (shared taxi) stop in Serekunda. Look for a gelli-gelli heading towards Banjul. Once you board, inform the driver that you want to stop at the Banjul International Airport road. After about a 10-minute ride, ask the driver to drop you off at the junction with the Tanbi Wetland Complex. From there, you will need to walk for about 10-15 minutes to reach the entrance of the wetlands.
