    Start from the center of Soma, where you can find the main market. Head northwest on the main road, passing by local shops and stalls. Continue walking for about 3 kilometers until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left path which leads towards Wassu. Follow this road for another 2 kilometers. You will notice the landscape changing with more trees and open fields. As you approach Wassu, keep an eye out for signposts that direct you to the Stone Circles. The entrance to the site is located on the right side of the road, marked with a sign. The stone circles are approximately 500 meters from the entrance, and you can walk there easily.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bicycle from a local shop in Soma. Begin at the main market and head northwest on the main road. After about 3 kilometers, take the left fork towards Wassu. Maintain a steady pace for another 2 kilometers. The road is generally flat and safe for cycling. Look out for signs directing you to the Stone Circles as you approach Wassu. Park your bicycle at the entrance, which has a sign indicating the site. The stone circles are an additional 500 meters from the entrance, which you can walk to.

  • Motorbike Taxi (Banjul Bike)

    To reach the Stone Circles of Gambia using a motorbike taxi, head to a nearby motorbike taxi stand in the center of Soma. Inform the driver that you want to go to the Stone Circles in Wassu. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will take you directly to the entrance of the Stone Circles site. Once you arrive, you can walk the short distance of about 500 meters to the actual stone circle area, which is clearly marked.
