Car
From Dapaong, head south on the N1 road towards the town of Togo-Dapaong. After approximately 45 km, take the exit towards the town of Kparatao. Continue on the road until you reach the local junction, then follow the signs leading to Likpe Bakwa, where cascade de Yikpa is located. The journey should take around 1 hour. Make sure to have enough fuel, as there are limited gas stations along the way.
Public Transportation (Taxi)
In Dapaong, look for shared taxis (often referred to as 'bush taxis') heading towards Kparatao or Likpe Bakwa. The fare should range between 1,000 to 2,000 CFA francs per person. Inform the driver that you want to go to cascade de Yikpa. The trip will take about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on the number of stops. Once you arrive at Likpe Bakwa, you may need to walk approximately 30 minutes to reach the waterfall, so wear comfortable shoes.
Motorcycle Taxi (Okada)
For a more adventurous option, you can hire a motorcycle taxi (locally known as 'okada') from Dapaong to cascade de Yikpa. Negotiate the fare before starting your journey; it should be around 4,000 to 5,000 CFA francs. The ride will take approximately 1 hour, and you will enjoy a quicker trip through the local roads. Be sure to wear a helmet and follow safety precautions during your ride. After reaching Likpe Bakwa, you will still need to walk about 30 minutes to the waterfall.
