Car
From Mount Agou Area, head south on Route N1 towards Kpalimé. Continue straight for about 30 minutes until you reach the town of Likpe. Once in Likpe, follow the signs to Likpe Bakwa and then look for local signs indicating 'Cascade de Yikpa'. The drive should take approximately 45 minutes total. Note that the last part of the journey may involve unpaved roads, so a vehicle with good clearance is recommended.
Public Transportation
Begin your journey at the main bus station in Mount Agou Area. Look for a bus or shared taxi heading to Kpalimé. Once you arrive in Kpalimé, switch to a local bus or shared taxi to Likpe. After reaching Likpe, you can either walk or hire a local taxi to take you to Cascade de Yikpa. The entire trip via public transport may take around 2-3 hours depending on waiting times and connections.
Walking from Likpe
If you arrive in Likpe and decide to walk to Cascade de Yikpa, it's about a 30-minute hike. Follow the dirt path that leads towards the waterfall, which is well-marked with local signs. The trail may become steep and rocky, so wearing good hiking shoes is advisable. Be sure to carry water and snacks, as there are limited facilities along the way.
