Public Transport
From Chaguanas, head to the nearest bus terminal. You can take a taxi or walk to the Chaguanas Bus Terminal located at the corner of Montrose Main Road and Southern Main Road. Look for a bus heading towards Port of Spain. Once you reach Port of Spain, you will need to transfer to a bus that goes to Las Cuevas. Look for the buses labeled 'Las Cuevas' or 'Maracas'. After boarding, inform the bus driver that you are going to 100 Steps Beach. The journey to Las Cuevas will take approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Las Cuevas, you will need to walk to Mitchell Trace. From the bus stop, walk north for about 10 minutes until you reach Mitchell Trace. Follow the road until you see signs for 100 Steps Beach. The beach is located a short distance down the path from the road.

If you are already in Chaguanas, you can walk to nearby public transportation options. Start from a central point, such as the Chaguanas Market, and make your way to the Chaguanas Bus Terminal. Once there, follow the instructions above for taking a bus to Las Cuevas. Walking directly to the beach from Chaguanas is not feasible due to the distance, so public transport is recommended.

If you prefer a more direct route and are okay with spending a little more, you can take a taxi from Chaguanas directly to 100 Steps Beach. You can ask your hotel or any local for a reliable taxi service. The taxi will take you along the highway, and the journey should take approximately 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Ensure that you give the driver the address 'Mitchell Trace, Las Cuevas' to reach your destination.
