From Pitch Lake, head southeast on the Southern Main Road (Highway 24) towards San Fernando. Continue on this road for approximately 30 kilometers (about 18 miles). As you approach Las Cuevas, keep an eye out for the signs directing you to Fort Abercromby. Turn onto the road indicated by the signs, which will lead you directly to the fort. There is no entry fee to access Fort Abercromby.

To reach Fort Abercromby from Pitch Lake using public transportation, you can take a taxi or a minibus heading towards San Fernando from Pitch Lake. Request to be dropped off at the nearest stop to Las Cuevas. Once you arrive in Las Cuevas, you may need to walk approximately 1-2 kilometers to reach Fort Abercromby. Be sure to confirm the location with the driver. The fare for the minibus should be around TT$10-15 per person.
