Getting There

  • Car

    From Pitch Lake, head south on the SS Erin Road. Continue on this road for about 5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the Southern Main Road. Turn right onto the Southern Main Road and continue for approximately 20 kilometers. At the junction with the Uriah Butler Highway, take the left exit to merge onto the highway. Follow the Uriah Butler Highway for about 10 kilometers. Take the exit towards the Churchill Roosevelt Highway (also known as the CR Highway) and continue for about 5 kilometers. Take the exit towards the Eastern Main Road and follow signs for St. Joseph. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the Eastern Main Road, continue for 3 kilometers, and then turn left onto the Maracas Road. Follow the Maracas Road for about 5 kilometers until you reach Valley View. Yerettê - Home of the Hummingbird will be on your right at 88 Valley View.

  • Public Transportation

    From Pitch Lake, take a taxi or a minibus heading to San Fernando. The fare is approximately TT$10-15. Once in San Fernando, transfer to a bus heading to Port of Spain. The fare for this leg is about TT$10. Upon arriving in Port of Spain, you can catch a taxi or a bus towards St. Joseph. Make sure to specify your destination to the driver. The fare should be around TT$20-25. When you reach St. Joseph, continue towards Maracas Road and ask the driver to drop you off at Valley View. Yerettê - Home of the Hummingbird is located at 88 Valley View, which is a short walk from the bus stop.
