Getting There

    Start your journey in St. George Central by heading southwest on the main road. Follow the signs to Central Trinidad and merge onto the Southern Main Road (Route 2). Continue on Route 2 until you reach the intersection with the Uriah Butler Highway. Merge onto the Uriah Butler Highway (Route 3) heading south. After approximately 10 minutes, take the exit for the Solomon Hochoy Highway (Route 6) towards San Fernando. Continue on this highway for about 20 minutes until you reach the exit for the M2 Ring Road. Take the exit and continue on M2 Ring Road, which will lead you towards the town of San Fernando. Once in San Fernando, follow the signs to the La Brea Highway (Route 7) towards La Brea and Point Fortin. After a few minutes, look for signs to the hike trailhead for Mount Tucuche, which is located near the village of Brasso Seco. Park your car at the designated parking area near the trailhead. Note: there may be a small fee for parking.

    From St. George Central, take a taxi or a public minibus heading towards San Fernando. You can catch these at designated taxi stands or on the side of major roads. Inform the driver that you want to go to San Fernando. Upon reaching San Fernando, transfer to another minibus heading towards La Brea (Route 7). Stay on this bus until you reach the stop closest to the trailhead for Mount Tucuche, which is near Brasso Seco. You may need to ask the driver to alert you when you reach the correct stop. Once you disembark, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the designated hiking area. Be prepared for a small fee for the minibus fare, which typically ranges from TT$10 to TT$20.
