Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Sultanahmet Square, head towards the Hagia Sophia, which is a short walk away. From the Hagia Sophia, walk down the path towards the Blue Mosque. Once you reach the Blue Mosque, continue walking straight until you reach the end of the square. You will see Alemdar Street ahead. Turn left onto Alemdar Street and walk for about 5 minutes. Gulhane Fountain will be on your right side, located at Alemdar Cd. No:32.

  • Public Transport

    From Taksim Square, take the funicular down to Kabatas. Once you arrive at Kabatas, transfer to tram line T1 towards Bağcılar. Get off at the Gulhane stop. After getting off, walk towards the park entrance. You will see Gulhane Fountain just a short walk away within the park, located at Alemdar Cd. No:32.

  • Walking

    If you are near the Spice Bazaar (Mısır Çarşısı), exit the bazaar and head towards the Galata Bridge. From there, walk along the waterfront towards the direction of the Sultanahmet area. Continue walking along the coastline until you reach the entrance of Gulhane Park. Once inside the park, Gulhane Fountain is located at Alemdar Cd. No:32, fairly close to the entrance.

  • Metro

    From the Şişli-Mecidiyeköy Metro Station, take the M2 line towards Yenikapı. Transfer at the Yenikapı station to the M1A line towards Atatürk Airport and get off at the Aksaray station. From Aksaray, you can walk straight down Ordu Street, which will eventually lead you to the main areas of Sultanahmet. Walk towards the direction of the Hagia Sophia and continue as described in the walking instructions above to reach Gulhane Fountain.
