Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the center of Pamukkale, start by heading towards the Pamukkale Travertines, which are visible from many points in the town. Walk down the main road (Pamukkale Mahallesi) heading south. After about 10 minutes, you will reach the entrance to the travertines where you can buy your ticket. Once inside, follow the signs to the Hierapolis ruins, which are located just beyond the travertines.

    From the main square in Pamukkale, take the local bus that goes to Hierapolis. Buses run frequently, approximately every 30 minutes. The bus stop is located near the Pamukkale entrance. The journey takes about 5-10 minutes. Ask the driver to let you know when you arrive at Hierapolis, and they will drop you off at the entrance.

  • Bicycle Rental

    For a more adventurous route, consider renting a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Pamukkale. Once you have your bike, head towards the main road (Pamukkale Mahallesi) and cycle south for about 2 km. There will be signs directing you to the Hierapolis entrance.
