If you are driving, start from Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan. Head south-east on the Ahal-Tepe highway. After approximately 40 km, take the exit toward the Köpetdag Mountains. Continue on this road for about 30 km until you reach the entrance of the national park area. From there, follow the signs towards Bugor Chash-Tepe, which is approximately another 20 km into the mountains. Make sure your vehicle is suitable for mountainous terrain, and be cautious of the road conditions as they can vary.

From Ashgabat, take a shared taxi or minibus (marshrutka) heading to the Köpetdag Mountains. These can be found at the main bus station in Ashgabat. The fare is approximately 5-10 TMT per person.
