Walking
From the center of Masaka, head northwest on Kampala Road (also known as Masaka-Kampala Road). Walk for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with Namasuba Road. At this junction, take a left onto Namasuba Road and continue walking for about 2 kilometers. You will pass several local shops and eateries along the way, which can be good stops for refreshments. After 2 kilometers, look for a sign indicating Busibo. Turn right onto the road leading to Busibo. Continue on this road for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left fork and follow the road for another 500 meters. You should start to notice a change in the landscape as you approach Katuulo seasonal lake. The lake will be on your right side; you may see local wildlife and beautiful scenery as you approach.

If you have access to a bicycle, you can make your way to Katuulo seasonal lake from Masaka by taking Kampala Road. Start at the Masaka central market and cycle northwest on Kampala Road for about 1.5 kilometers. Once you reach the junction with Namasuba Road, turn left and continue cycling for about 2 kilometers. Keep an eye out for local shops where you can take breaks. Upon reaching the Busibo sign, turn right and continue straight for about 1 kilometer. When you reach the fork in the road, take the left fork and bike for another 500 meters until you spot Katuulo seasonal lake on your right.
