Car
If you are driving to Mazike Valley Lodge from a central location in Rwenzori Mountains National Park, head southeast on the main road towards Kasese. Continue on this road for about 30 km until you reach the junction at Kabarole. Turn left towards Queen Elizabeth National Park and follow the signs. After approximately 10 km, you will reach the entrance of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Pay the entrance fee, which is around $40 for foreign non-residents. Continue driving for another 5 km, and you will find the Mazike Valley Lodge on the eastern edge of the park.

Public Transportation
To reach Mazike Valley Lodge using public transport, first, take a taxi or a matatu (shared minibus) from your location in Rwenzori Mountains National Park to Kasese. The fare is usually around 5,000 UGX. From Kasese, you can find another matatu heading to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The fare for this trip is about 10,000 UGX. Inform the driver of your destination, Mazike Valley Lodge, and they will drop you off at the entrance of the park. From there, you may need to walk approximately 5 km to the lodge or arrange for a local boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) which will cost around 5,000 UGX.

If you are already near the entrance of Queen Elizabeth National Park, you can hire a boda-boda to reach Mazike Valley Lodge. Negotiate the fare, which typically ranges from 5,000 to 10,000 UGX depending on the distance. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes, and it’s advisable to wear a helmet for safety.
