Getting There

  • By Car

    From Kampala, take the Masaka-Kabale Highway towards Masaka. Continue on the highway until you reach the town of Mbarara. From Mbarara, take the road towards Bushenyi. Once in Bushenyi, ask locals for directions to Lake Nyabihoko as it may not be well signposted. Be prepared for rough roads and possibly needing a 4x4 vehicle for the final stretch.

    From Kampala, take a bus or taxi to Mbarara. From Mbarara, you can take a taxi or boda boda (motorcycle taxi) to Bushenyi. Once in Bushenyi, you may need to hire a local guide or boda boda to take you to Lake Nyabihoko as it may be off the beaten path and not easily accessible by public transportation.
