If you are traveling by car, head towards Jinja on the main road from any location in Busoga. Once you reach Jinja, follow signs for the Uganda Railway Museum. The museum is located near the Jinja Railway Station, approximately 1 km from the city center. You can park your car at designated parking areas near the museum. Note that there might be parking fees, so be prepared for that.
Public Transportation (Matatus)
To reach the Uganda Railway Museum using public transportation, take a matatu (shared taxi) heading to Jinja from your nearest town in Busoga. Once you arrive at Jinja, disembark at the main taxi park. From the taxi park, you can either walk (about 10-15 minutes) to the museum or hire a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) for a short ride. The fare for a boda boda typically ranges from 1,000 to 3,000 UGX depending on the distance.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a boda boda from anywhere in Jinja to take you straight to the Uganda Railway Museum. Just tell the rider your destination, and they will know the way. The ride should cost around 2,000 to 5,000 UGX. Ensure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey.
