Bicycle
From the center of Kampala, head towards the Old Taxi Park. Rent a bicycle there and take the road leading to Entebbe. Follow the signs to Entebbe, which is approximately 40 kilometers away. Once you reach Entebbe, continue straight until you get to Nakiwogo. Look for signs indicating 'Mabamba Shoebills Watching' as you approach the area.
Public Transport (Matatu)
Go to the Old Taxi Park in Kampala and find a Matatu that is heading to Entebbe. Make sure to confirm with the conductor that it will stop near Nakiwogo. The journey will take about an hour. Once you arrive at Entebbe, ask to be dropped off at Nakiwogo. From there, walk towards the waterfront where 'Mabamba Shoebills Watching' is located.
Walking
If you are staying nearby in Entebbe, you can walk to Nakiwogo from the town center. Head south on Kampala Road, then turn right onto Nakiwogo Road. Follow this road until you reach the waterfront area. Keep an eye out for signs indicating the 'Mabamba Shoebills Watching' tour point, which is close to the water.
Boda Boda (Motorcycle Taxi)
Find a Boda Boda stand in Kampala, preferably near the Old Taxi Park. Negotiate a price to take you directly to Nakiwogo, Entebbe. The ride will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic. Request the driver to take you to 'Mabamba Shoebills Watching' once you arrive in Nakiwogo.
