Walking
If you are starting from the city center, head east towards Jinja Road. Walk along Jinja Road until you reach the Nakawa roundabout. Continue straight at the roundabout onto Kampala Road. After about 1 km, turn left onto Lancaster Avenue. SAFE PLACES UGANDA will be located on your right side after approximately 500 meters.
Boda Boda (motorcycle taxi)
Find a nearby boda boda stage and tell the rider to take you to SAFE PLACES UGANDA on Lancaster Avenue in Nakawa. It’s a known location, so they should be familiar with it. The ride from central Kampala should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
Public Transport (Matatu)
From the city center, board a matatu heading towards Nakawa. You can find these at the bus terminal near the Old Taxi Park. Once on board, inform the conductor that you are going to Lancaster Avenue. Alight at the closest stop to Lancaster Avenue, then walk about 200 meters along Lancaster Avenue until you reach SAFE PLACES UGANDA, which will be on your left.
