Walking
If you're starting from Kampala city center, head west towards the Old Kampala area. You can start at the Kampala Railway Station. From there, exit the station and walk along Jinja Road (also known as the Kampala-Jinja Highway). After about 1 kilometer, turn left onto Old Kampala Road. Continue along Old Kampala Road for about 500 meters until you see the large dome of the Uganda National Mosque on your right.
Boda Boda (Motorcycle Taxi)
Find a boda boda stand in the city center, such as near the Kampala Road or at the junction of Jinja Road. Inform the rider that you want to go to the Uganda National Mosque (Gaddafi National Mosque) located on Old Kampala Road. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off right at the mosque entrance.
Public Transport (Matatu)
Head to the nearest matatu stage in the city center, usually located near the main bus terminal. Look for a matatu heading towards Old Kampala or Wandegeya. Board the matatu and inform the conductor that you want to go to the Uganda National Mosque. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the nearest stop to Old Kampala Road, and walk approximately 5 minutes towards the mosque, which will be visible from a distance.
