Car
From Moroto, head east on the Moroto-Kotido Road (A9) for about 30 kilometers. Keep an eye out for the sign for Bokora Wildlife Reserve. Turn right onto the access road leading into the reserve. The roads may be rough, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. Continue for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the park entrance.
Public Transport
Catch a taxi or a bus from Moroto to Kotido at the Moroto taxi park. The fare is typically around 5,000 UGX. From Kotido, you can hire a motorcycle taxi (boda-boda) to take you to Bokora Wildlife Reserve. Ensure you negotiate the fare beforehand, which should be around 15,000-20,000 UGX. The boda-boda will drop you off at the entrance to the reserve.
Guided Tour
Consider booking a guided tour that includes transportation to Bokora Wildlife Reserve. Many local tour operators in Karamoja offer packages that include vehicle rental and a guide. Prices vary, but expect to pay around 150,000-250,000 UGX per person depending on the group size and inclusions like meals and park fees.
Walking (after transportation)
