Car
If you are driving from Lango, start on the main road towards Kampala. Depending on your exact location in Lango, you can use either the Gulu Road (A1) or the Lira-Kampala Road (A1). Follow the signs towards Kampala. Once you reach the outskirts of Kampala, continue on the Kampala-Masaka Road (A109) for about 70 kilometers. Look for signs for the Uganda Equator as you approach Kayabwe. The Equator landmark is located at Plot 24 Kikutuzi-Mpigi District, just a short detour off the main road.
Public Transportation
To reach the Uganda Equator using public transportation, take a bus or matatu from your location in Lango to Kampala. The journey typically takes 3-4 hours depending on traffic. Once in Kampala, board a bus or matatu heading towards Masaka. Inform the driver you want to stop at the Uganda Equator, and they will drop you off at the designated area. The Equator site is within walking distance from the bus stop.
