    Getting There

    Walking

    From the center of Mbale, head towards the main road, which is called Republic Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the junction with Manafwa Road. At this junction, turn left onto Manafwa Road. Keep walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the entrance to Mount Elgon National Park. The entrance is well marked, and you can ask locals for directions if needed.

    Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, start from the central Mbale bus park. Ride towards Republic Street and continue straight until you get to the junction with Manafwa Road. Turn left and keep cycling for approximately 1.5 kilometers. Look for the sign that indicates the entrance to Mount Elgon National Park. The route is mostly flat, making it a pleasant ride.

    Boda Boda (Motorcycle Taxi)

    From your location in Mbale, you can catch a boda boda to Mount Elgon. Find a boda boda stage, usually located near markets or main streets. Tell the driver you want to go to Mount Elgon National Park. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the price before starting your journey.

    Public Transport (Matatu)

    You can take a matatu from the Mbale bus park towards the direction of Sironko. Board a matatu that is heading towards Sironko and ask the conductor to drop you off at the entrance of Mount Elgon National Park. The journey should take around 30 minutes. Once you arrive, follow the signs to the park entrance.
