Walking
If you are in Mbarara town, start at the main bus park, which is a central location. From the bus park, head north on Nyamitanga Road. Walk straight for about 800 meters until you reach the junction with Mbarara - Masaka Rd. Turn left onto Mbarara - Masaka Rd and continue walking for approximately 1 kilometer. You will pass by several shops and local vendors. Keep an eye out for the signs that indicate Independence Park on your right. The entrance to the park is located just off this road.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Mbarara town. Start from the town center and head towards Nyamitanga Road. Cycle straight for about 800 meters until you reach Mbarara - Masaka Rd. Take a left turn and continue cycling for about 1 kilometer. Look for signs for Independence Park on your right. There's a small entrance gate where you can park your bicycle.
