Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards Jinja Road, which connects you to the Murchison Falls National Park area. Once you reach the road sign for Gulu City, continue driving north. After about 3 hours, you will come across a fork in the road. Take the left fork that leads to Karuma Falls. Continue for another hour until you reach the main junction in Gulu. From there, follow the signs to the town center, where you can find parking and local transport options to reach Mbudya Island.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus or matatu from your location in Northern Region to Gulu City. Once you arrive in Gulu, go to the main bus terminal and look for a matatu heading to Murchison Falls. The fare should be around 10,000 UGX. Upon reaching Murchison Falls, you will need to hire a local boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) to take you to the nearest boat docking station. Expect to pay about 5,000-10,000 UGX for this ride.
