From Kapchorwa, continue on the road towards the direction of the Mount Elgon National Park entrance. You will see signs pointing towards the park. Make sure to have your vehicle in good condition as some parts of the road can be rough. The park entrance is located at a place called 'Budadiri', which is about 12 km from Kapchorwa. There is an entrance fee to the park, which is approximately 30,000 Ugandan Shillings (around $8 USD) for foreign tourists.

    To reach Mount Elgon National Park using public transport, first, take a matatu (shared taxi) or a bus from Sebei to Kapchorwa. The fare is usually around 5,000 Ugandan Shillings (about $1.50 USD) and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once in Kapchorwa, you can hire a local boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) to take you to the park entrance in Budadiri.
