Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car from Teso, start by heading towards the town of Tororo. You can take the A109 road, which connects Teso to Tororo. The journey will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. Once you reach Tororo, look for signs directing you to Tororo Rock. It is located just outside the town center. You can park your car at the base of the rock, where you'll find paths leading up.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Tororo Rock using public transportation, board a matatu (shared taxi) or bus heading to Tororo from any major town in Teso. The fare is usually between 10,000 to 15,000 UGX. Once you arrive at the main bus park in Tororo, you can either walk towards Tororo Rock, which is about a 30-minute walk, or hire a boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) for around 5,000 to 10,000 UGX to take you to the base of the rock.

• Boda-Boda

  If you are already in Tororo and need to reach Tororo Rock, you can easily find a boda-boda at various points in the town. The ride should cost between 3,000 and 10,000 UGX depending on the distance from your location. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey. The boda-boda will take you directly to the foot of Tororo Rock, where you can begin your hike.

• Walking

  For those who prefer walking, once you are in Tororo, you can reach Tororo Rock by walking from the town center. Head towards the eastern side of the town, following the signs or asking locals for directions. The hike to the top of the rock is steep but rewarding, offering stunning views of the surrounding area. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water for hydration.
