If you're traveling by car from Teso to Kabaka's Palace in Kampala, start by heading southwest on the main road towards Mbale. Continue on this road for about 45 km until you reach the junction that connects to the Kampala-Masaka Road (A109). Turn left onto the A109 and continue for approximately 130 km towards Kampala. As you approach the city, keep an eye out for signs indicating the city center. Once in Kampala, follow the signs to Lubiri Ring Road. Kabaka's Palace is located at The Twekobe, Lubiri Ring Road, which is easily accessible from the main roads. Parking is available nearby, but be prepared for possible parking fees ranging from 2,000 to 5,000 UGX depending on the area.
Public Transportation (Bus)
To reach Kabaka's Palace using public transportation, start by finding a bus station in Teso that offers services to Kampala. Buses frequently depart from towns like Soroti and Kumi. The journey to Kampala will take approximately 3-4 hours depending on traffic and road conditions. Once you arrive at the main bus terminal in Kampala (usually at the city center), you can take a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) or a taxi (shared vehicle) to Lubiri Ring Road. Make sure to inform the driver that you want to go to Kabaka's Palace, located at The Twekobe. The boda boda fare should be around 2,000-5,000 UGX, while a taxi might cost between 10,000-15,000 UGX.
Public Transportation (Boda Boda)
If you're already in Kampala and need to reach Kabaka's Palace, you can easily take a boda boda from your location. Simply ask the driver to take you to The Twekobe, Lubiri Ring Road.
