If you are traveling by car from any location in West Nile, make your way to Gulu City first. Take the Gulu-Kampala Road (also known as the A-1 Road) heading south. After approximately 5 hours of travel, you will reach Kampala. Once in Kampala, navigate to Masiro Road. The Kasubi Tombs are located at 8HH3+H76, Masiro Rd, Kampala. Look for the entrance which is marked and has signage. Ensure you have local currency (Ugandan Shillings) for entry fees.
Public Transportation
To reach Kasubi Tombs via public transport, board a bus or a shared taxi from your location in West Nile to Gulu City. The journey should take around 4-5 hours. From Gulu, look for buses or shared taxis heading to Kampala. Once you arrive in Kampala, you can take a boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) or a taxi to Masiro Road. The fare for the boda-boda will typically be around 5,000 to 10,000 Ugandan Shillings. Inform the driver that you want to go to the Kasubi Tombs.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from your location in West Nile to Kasubi Tombs. This will be the most expensive option, costing significantly more than public transport. However, it provides convenience and comfort. The taxi will take you directly to the tombs, and you can discuss the fare with the driver beforehand.
