We had a long layover at Abu Dhabi this week, and decided to make the most of it with a layover tour of Abu Dhabi city. Most tours featured on the Trip Advisor site were less than 4 hrs or over 8 hrs, but this particular tour caught my attention for it's flexibility and just the right number of stops. We started our tour with our pleasant driver, Ali who contacted us a couple of days before the trip, and had helpfully supplied his contact information beforehand to set us up properly. We met Ali who came on time to the desired pickup point at Abu Dhabi. From the very start he was extremely professional and very knowledgeable. He also has knowledge of Hindi/ Urdu. He joined us at the key points of interest, including the Qasr Al Watan palace, the Abu Dhabi Dates and Heritage Market and accompanied us all the way into the Sheikh Zayed Mosque ensuring we had the right clothing and were set up for success. He took pictures of us at all the key photo stops, taking pains to ensure that he pointed them out to us, and took the best angle possible. He was also helpful in the routes, and gave us suggestions on which attractions should be coupled together for maximum efficiency. We saw such incredible sights and sounds, the city of Abu Dhabi so vast, all built artificially and yet so well maintained. #I am a fan! Whether it was the Qasr Al Watan palace, Sheikh Zayed Mosque, Heritage Market, The Louvre Abu Dhabi, Dates and Fruit and Vegetables Market, Etihad arena everything is built on such a large scale!! Amidst the blistering heat, he took pains to ensure that our family didn't wait in the sun, being considerate and bringing the car to the doorstep. He provided bottled water and a very comfortable Kia Sedona throughout our journey Kudos to Abu Dhabi for building such a wonderfully planned city We will come back soon to experience Yas Island, Ferrari World, Sea World and Warner Bros.
