If you are driving from Dundee, take the A92 towards Arbroath. After approximately 12 miles, take the exit toward Carnoustie. Continue on the A930 into Carnoustie. Once in Carnoustie, follow signs for Barry Village. Turn onto Mill Road, where you will find Barry Mill at the end of the road. There is parking available near the mill.

To reach Barry Mill by public transport from Dundee, take a train from Dundee Railway Station to Carnoustie Railway Station. The journey takes about 20 minutes. Upon arrival at Carnoustie Station, you can either walk (approximately 30 minutes) or take a local taxi to Barry Mill. If walking, head south on Ferry Road, then turn left onto A930. Continue straight until you reach Mill Road and follow it to the mill. Taxi fares from the station to Barry Mill are around £10.
