If you are starting from Bath city centre, head towards the Bath Abbey. From the Abbey, walk down Abbey Green to reach North Parade. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Pulteney Bridge. Cross the bridge and turn left onto Great Pulteney Street. Continue walking until you reach the junction with the A36. Cross over the A36 carefully and follow the sign for the Kennet & Avon Canal pathway. This will lead you to the canal path.

Once you are on the canal path, walk along the path towards the east. You will pass several locks along the way. Continue walking until you reach Lock 7. Keep an eye out for signs indicating Lock 7 as you approach. The lock area is scenic and should be easy to find as you follow the path along the canal.
