Getting There

  • Bus

    Start at the Bristol city center, specifically at the 'Broadmead' bus stop. Take the bus number 73 towards 'Chepstow' or 65 towards 'Monmouth'. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. Get off at the 'Monmouth' bus station. From there, you will need to walk to the Bigsweir Bridge.

  • Walking

    From the Monmouth bus station, head southwest on 'Blestium Street', then take a slight left onto 'Monnow Street'. Follow 'Monnow Street' until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit onto 'A40' and continue walking along the road. After about 1.5 miles, you will see signs for Bigsweir Bridge. Follow the path which will take you directly to the bridge.

  • Train and Bus

    Take a train from Bristol Temple Meads to 'Chepstow'. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once in Chepstow, head to the bus station and catch a bus (number 73 or 65) to Monmouth. Get off at the Monmouth bus station, then follow the walking directions mentioned above to reach Bigsweir Bridge.
