Car
If you are driving, start from the center of Halkirk. Head southwest on Main Street/A9 towards the A836. Continue on A836 for about 3 miles. Then, take a right turn onto the B870 towards Harpsdale. Follow the B870 for approximately 2 miles until you see the signs for Lichen Caithness Reindeer Centre. The Centre is located at Middlebie, Harpsdale, Halkirk KW12 6UL. There is free parking available on-site.

For those using public transport, take a bus from Thurso or Wick to Halkirk. The bus service is operated by Stagecoach and typically runs several times a day. Once you arrive in Halkirk, you can either walk (approximately 1.5 miles) to the Centre or arrange for a local taxi to take you directly. Taxis can be found near the bus stop or can be booked in advance. Expect to pay around £10 for a taxi ride to the Centre.

If you are feeling adventurous and wish to walk from Halkirk, head southwest on Main Street towards A9. After about 0.5 miles, turn right onto the B870 and continue walking for about 2 miles. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and check the weather, as it can be quite windy in this area. The walk will take approximately 40-50 minutes.
