High Street Arcade was established in 1885 by the Cardiff High Street Arcade Company, designed by T Waring and Son with J P Jones. It is one of Cardiff’s oldest Victorian arcades and holds Grade II listed status, underscoring its architectural and historical significance. The arcade originally featured 34 shops and was built by adapting pre-existing buildings, with a distinctive curving layout that connects High Street to St John Street.
