    Start at the intersection of Cathays Terrace and Crwys Road. Head south on Cathays Terrace towards the city center. After about 10 minutes, you will reach the main road, which is Park Place. Continue straight, and you will see the entrance to Bute Park on your left. Keep walking straight until you reach the junction with Castle Street. Cardiff Castle will be directly ahead of you at Castle Street, CF10 3RB.

    From Cathays, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Crwys Road. Take the Cardiff Bus number 21 or 24, which will take you towards the city center. Stay on the bus for approximately 10 minutes. Get off at the stop named 'Castle Street'. From there, Cardiff Castle is just a short walk of about 5 minutes down Castle Street.

    Walk to the nearest tram stop on Crwys Road. Take the tram towards the city center and alight at the 'Cardiff Central' stop. From the station, it’s a 15-minute walk: exit the station, head onto Station Approach, continue straight onto St. Mary Street, and then take a left onto Castle Street where you will find Cardiff Castle.
