Getting There

  • Walking

    From Roath, head towards Albany Road and walk west. You can also catch a bus from any stop along the road towards the city centre. If you choose to walk, continue straight until you reach the junction with Newport Road. Turn right onto Newport Road and walk for about 10 minutes until you see the entrance to Cardiff Castle on your left, located on Castle Street.

    You can take the number 38 or 39 bus from the closest bus stop on Albany Road heading towards the city centre. The journey takes around 15 minutes. Get off at the stop named 'Castle' and walk a short distance along Castle Street to reach Cardiff Castle.

  • Cycle

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a nearby bike-sharing service. Head down to Albany Road and follow the cycle path towards the city centre.
