Car
From Down, take the A20 towards Newry. After approximately 15 miles, merge onto the A1 motorway heading north. Continue on the A1 for about 30 miles and then take the exit for the A69 towards Hexham. Follow the A69 for approximately 20 miles until you reach Brampton. From Brampton, follow signs for Hadrian's Wall, which is located just outside the town. The closest parking area is at the visitor center, where there may be a small parking fee.

From Down, take the bus to Belfast (approximately 30 minutes). From Belfast, catch a train to Carlisle, which takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once in Carlisle, transfer to a local bus that goes directly to Brampton. The bus ride will take around 30 minutes. After arriving in Brampton, follow the signs for Hadrian's Wall, which is a short walk from the bus stop.
