Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, the easiest route to Berkeley Castle (GL13 9PJ) is via the M5 motorway. From the M5, take exit 14 for the A38 towards Dursley/Berkeley. Follow the A38 for approximately 5 miles. Once you reach the roundabout, take the first exit onto the B4061 towards Berkeley. After about 1.5 miles, you will see signs for Berkeley Castle. Turn right onto Castle Lane, and the castle will be on your left. There is a car park available for visitors, but there may be a small fee.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Berkeley Castle using public transport, first take a train to Cam & Dursley station from any major station in Gloucestershire. From Cam & Dursley, you can take a bus (Service 93) towards Berkeley. The bus will take approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to the castle, which is along High Street in Berkeley. From there, it is just a short walk (about 10 minutes) to the entrance of Berkeley Castle. Be sure to check the bus timetable in advance, as services may vary.

• Taxi

  If you prefer not to drive or use public transport, you can opt for a taxi. Taxis are available from major towns in Gloucestershire. You can book one in advance to take you directly to Berkeley Castle. The fare will vary based on your starting location but expect to pay around £20-£30 from nearby towns like Dursley or Thornbury.
