If you're driving to Harlech Castle, start by getting onto the A487 road, which is one of the main routes in Gwynedd. Depending on where you are coming from, follow signs for Porthmadog or Barmouth. Once on the A487, look for signs towards Harlech and then take the A496 towards Harlech. As you approach the town, you will see signs for Harlech Castle. Follow these signs, and when you reach the town center, you can find parking nearby. The castle is located in the heart of Harlech, just a short walk from the main parking areas.

To reach Harlech Castle using public transport, you can take a train to Harlech Station. The station is served by trains from either Porthmadog or Barmouth. Once you arrive at Harlech Station, exit the station and head towards the main road, which is Station Road. Turn left onto the A496, and follow it into the town center. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk to Harlech Castle from the station. As you walk, you will see the castle in the distance as you approach the town.
