Travel Guide to The Castle Tavern

Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, set your GPS to 1 View Pl, Inverness IV2 4SA. From the center of Inverness, head south on Academy Street towards the A82. Continue onto the A9 and take the exit towards A82/Inverness. Merge onto the A82 and follow signs for Inverness. Continue onto the A9, then take the exit towards the A82. Once you reach the city center, follow the signs to the Castle and drive towards the river. The Castle Tavern will be on your left after you pass the Castle.

• Public Transport - Bus

  If you're using public transport, take a local bus that goes to the city center. You can catch buses like Stagecoach or Citylink from various places in Inverness-shire. Look for routes that mention the city center or 'Castle' in their destination. Once you arrive at the bus station in Inverness, it's a short 10-minute walk to The Castle Tavern. Exit the bus station, head towards Academy Street, and follow the signs to the Castle. The Tavern is located at 1 View Pl, just a short walk away.

• Public Transport - Train

  If you're coming from further away, you might arrive by train at Inverness Train Station. Upon arrival, exit the station and catch a local bus or taxi. Alternatively, if you prefer walking, the Castle Tavern is about a 20-minute walk from the train station. Head south on Academy Street, continue onto the A9, and follow the signs to the Castle. The Tavern will be on your left after the Castle.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct method, you can always take a taxi. Taxis are readily available around the city center and can take you directly to The Castle Tavern at 1 View Pl. Expect to pay around £5-£10 for the ride, depending on your starting point.
