If you're driving, head towards the B8016 road from your current location in Islay. Follow the signs for Port Ellen and continue straight onto the B8016. After approximately 6 miles, you will reach a junction. Turn left at the junction, and Lagavulin Distillery will be on your right after about 1 mile. There is parking available at the distillery.

For those using public transport, you can take the bus from Port Ellen to the Lagavulin Distillery. Buses typically run several times a day, and you can check the local bus timetable for specific times. The bus ride should take about 10 to 15 minutes. Get off at the Lagavulin Distillery bus stop, which is conveniently located right outside the distillery.

If you are staying nearby and prefer to walk, the distillery is about a 30-minute walk from Port Ellen. From Port Ellen, head south on the B8016 road and follow the path along the coastline. Keep an eye out for the Lagavulin Distillery sign as you near your destination, which will be on your right-hand side.
