Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the main village of Craighouse, which is the central hub of Isle of Jura. Take the A846 road heading south towards Tarbert. Continue on this road for about 12 miles (20 km). As you approach Tarbert, look for signs for Dunmore. Turn onto the road leading to Dunmore and follow it until you reach Kilnaish Nature Reserve at the address: Dunmore, Tarbert PA29 6XZ. There is no fee for parking at the nature reserve.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take the Jura Ferry from the mainland (from Port Askaig on Islay) to the Isle of Jura. Once you arrive at the ferry terminal in Jura, you can take a local bus service (if available) towards Tarbert. Ask the bus driver to drop you off near Dunmore. From the drop-off point, it is a short walk to Kilnaish Nature Reserve. Ensure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited.

Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of Tarbert and prefer walking, make your way to Dunmore by heading southwest along the A846 from Tarbert. The walk is approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km) and will take around 30 minutes. Follow the road signs towards Dunmore, and you will find Kilnaish Nature Reserve located nearby. This route offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.
