If you're driving from Portree, take the A87 road heading north. Continue on the A87 for about 8 miles (approximately 13 kilometers) until you reach the junction for the A850. Turn left onto the A850 and follow it for about 2 miles. Look for signs indicating the Mealt Falls viewpoint. The car park is located just off the main road, and parking is free.

To reach Mealt Falls via public transport from Portree, take the local bus service (bus number 57 or 58) towards Uig. Inform the driver to drop you off at the stop for Mealt Falls, which is approximately a 15-20 minute ride from Portree. Make sure to check the bus schedule beforehand, as services may be limited, especially during off-peak hours. After getting off the bus, follow the short walking path to the viewpoint.

If you're already in the vicinity, you can walk to Mealt Falls from the nearest village. From the village of Staffin, head southwest along the A855 road. It’s about a 2-mile (3.2 km) walk, and you will enjoy beautiful views along the way. Once you reach the viewpoint, follow the signs to the waterfall.
