If you are traveling by car, start from Portree, the largest town on the Isle of Skye. Head south on the A87 for about 16 miles until you reach the junction with the A851. Turn left onto the A851, and continue for approximately 6 miles. As you approach the village of Elgol, keep an eye out for a minor road on your right leading to Strath Suardale. Turn onto this road, and follow it for about 1 mile. You will see the Strath Suardale Chambered Cairn on your left. There is parking available nearby.

To reach Strath Suardale Chambered Cairn via public transportation, take a bus from Portree to Elgol. The bus service is operated by Stagecoach, and you can check the timetable for the latest schedules. After arriving in Elgol, you will need to arrange for a taxi to take you to the cairn, as public transport does not go directly to this historical site. The taxi ride should take about 10 minutes and may cost around £10-£15.

If you're feeling adventurous and are already in the vicinity, consider walking to the Strath Suardale Chambered Cairn from Elgol. The walk is approximately 3 miles and takes about 1 hour. Follow the A851 road south from Elgol, then take the minor road that branches off to the left towards Strath Suardale.
