Car
If you are driving, start your journey in Portree, which is the main town on the Isle of Skye. From Portree, take the A87 road heading north towards Uig. After approximately 10 miles, turn left onto the A855 towards Staffin. Continue on this road for about 7 miles until you reach the T-junction with the B885. Turn right onto the B885 and follow the road for approximately 3 miles until you see a sign for Rubha Hunish. You can park at the designated parking area near the trailhead.

To reach Rubha Hunish using public transport, take the bus from Portree. The local bus service (Stagecoach) has routes that connect Portree with Uig. You can check the latest schedule, but generally, take the bus to Uig, then transfer to a local bus that goes towards Staffin. Request the driver to drop you off at the closest stop to Rubha Hunish. From there, it’s a short walk (approximately 1 mile) to the Rubha Hunish trailhead. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance as they may be limited, especially on weekends.
