For those using public transport, take a bus from Ambleside to Hawkshead. The bus service is operated by Stagecoach and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can take a ferry from Bowness-on-Windermere to Near Sawrey, which provides a scenic route across Windermere Lake.
