Continue on this road until you reach a junction where you turn left onto the A591. Stay on the A591 for about 2 miles, then turn right onto the B5289. After approximately 1 mile, you will see parking available near the Bowder Stone. Note that parking fees may apply, typically around £3 for 2 hours.

To reach Bowder Stone using public transport, take a bus to Keswick. The Stagecoach 555 service operates regularly from various locations in the Lake District. Once in Keswick, board the bus heading towards Grange, which will drop you off near the Bowder Stone. After getting off, it’s about a 15-minute walk to the Bowder Stone itself. Please check the Stagecoach website for the latest timetable and fare information.

If you are already in the nearby Grange area, you can walk to Bowder Stone. From the center of Grange, follow the signs towards Bowder Stone. The walk is approximately 1 mile and takes around 20-30 minutes. The path is well-marked and offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes.
