From the center of Edinburgh, take the A1 road southbound. Follow the A1 for approximately 5 miles. Take the exit towards the A720 (City Bypass) and continue on the A720 for about 4 miles. Take the exit for the A6094 towards Musselburgh/Old Craighall. Continue on the A6094, and at the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Old Craighall Road. Continue straight, and you will find Monkton House at Old Craighall, Musselburgh EH21 8SF on your right. There is free parking available on-site.

From Edinburgh Waverley Train Station, take a train towards North Berwick or Dunbar. Get off at Musselburgh Station (about a 10-minute journey). From Musselburgh Station, you can take the number 44 bus towards Old Craighall, which stops near Monkton House. Alternatively, it's a 20-minute walk from the station to Monkton House. Follow the signs to the A6094, then head east on Old Craighall Road until you reach your destination. Total travel time is approximately 30-40 minutes depending on connections.
