Car
Driving to Alnmouth Beach from Alnwick takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes via the B1336. There is a pay car park near the beach with a daily fee around £3.50, accepting contactless payment. Parking for motorhomes is also available. Note that parking can be limited during peak summer weekends.
Bus
Regular Arriva bus services run along the Northumberland coast connecting Alnwick to Alnmouth. The journey typically takes 25 to 35 minutes. Bus stops are located near the village center, within walking distance of the beach. Check schedules in advance as frequency varies, especially on weekends and holidays.
Train and Walk
Alnmouth railway station is about 1.5 miles from the village and beach. From the station, a pleasant 30-minute walk or a short taxi ride will bring you to the beach. The walk follows a mostly flat terrain suitable for most travelers but may be challenging with heavy luggage.
